Even since in first grade, one of my desires has been the next Charles Schultz. Of course I wanted to also be a fire engine as well, but being organically grown has its drawbacks.

The contents in this part of Jimzworld is everything not immediately categorized in the other parts of my web site.

Whether it is paintings i have done, button or sticker designs, Digital art, cartoons, or other miscellaneous works, this is the place to get a gander.

I have also included in this part, some of my drawing work. Perhaps some of these ketches will be incorporated into future works of digital delights, or perhaps they will simply find themselves filed away for future reference.

In the miscellaneous miscellaneous section as well I will endeavor to label and give a little history to some of the cartoon characters that I have enjoyed bringing to life over the years...for those interested.

I'm not a huge Jimmy Buffett fan, but I know a girl who is and so by natural progression this unusual piece was created. I later incorporated it into a Greeting Card, but it really didn't fit I think it would make real neat part of a menu cover though.
If Salvador Dali worked with Illustrator, he might start off with a picture that looked a little bit like this.

Regardless of where imagination might take me, it's always fulfilling to be led places I never thought I could go. In the end the computer is but a tool, like a brush or a pencil. So no mater what the processor speed, or the sophistication of filters, without vision, the work will fall.

Sometimes I like the sharp angles and the mathematical precision of Vector art. Other times I dig the realism and grittiness of Photoshop. but in the end its more a means to an end. there is also the joy of discovery.

Truth be told though, the best works are those i have given to others. To see the light in their eyes when they get something that I have made for them is more priceless than gold. Every artist has its muse. I have been fortunate enough to have many.
